Erdem is a 35 year old journalist. He has been unemployed for 15 months and is about to become a father. He urgently needs a job. When he is rejected in every job interview, he finally takes the news editor hostage. After his graduation from the Istanbul Bilgi University Film Department by a M.A degree in 2005, he started to work as an assistant director. He took part in the production of over 90 episodes of TV series and nine feature films as (first or second) assistant director. One of those films is Once Upon a Time in Anatolia directed by Nuri Bilge Ceylan, which was bestowed Grand Prix by the Jury in Cannes Film Festival in 2011. He also directed three short documentaries and three short films. His filmography includes Bir İş Görüşmesi Hikayesi (2017), Tercih Formu (2014), Kuştepe Şans Park (2006), The Fun of Rakı (2006), Breaking The Rules (2004), Bekle... (2003), Değişimin Figüranları (2002).
