                    | Selen ÖRCAN  Selen Örcan was  born in 1994 in Izmir. She graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of  Fine Arts, Department of Performing Arts – Dramatic Writing in 2018.
 In 2016,  she took part in the Kumbaracı50 Theater Community’s project named Pera's Time  with her play The Last Song. She was in the script team of the short film The  Embroidered Dress shot in 2017. The film won several national/international  awards. Again in 2017, she did the dramaturgy of the play Shall We Walk to the  End staged by Theater Diftong. In 2018, her play Meddah was selected for the  workshop by the State Theaters dramaturg, and the play was included in the  pool. She took part in  the story and script team of the documentary The Everwarm Bed, which was funded  by the Turkish Ministry of Culture in 2019 and the shooting was completed as of  May. In 2020, her first feature project named Unfruitful Times, which she  screenwrote, was entitled to receive the Ministry of Culture First Feature  Support Fund and North Macedonian Film Agency Co-Production Support. |
