Synopsis

In order to grow, three women must change where they live. They have to migrate. Maral is from Armenia and is working illegally in Istanbul. Ela is a Turkish girl living in Paris. Julia is a French photographer living at Paris. Life strikes a blow to each of their dreams, but in the end adversity helps them grow strong enough to swim in the big water.

Azra Deniz OKYAY

Azra Deniz Okyay was born and grew up in Istanbul. She began photography at the age of 12, and became Dora Günel’s assistant at the age of 14. She shot her first short film when she was 16. After graduating from high school she went to Paris to study cinema and received her undergraduate degree. As she was working for her Master’s degree, she also took classes in sociology and worked as a trainee in Partizan. She has short films, video arts, commercials, and music videos.
