Synopsis

“Nothing is as it seems...”

Having lost his wife, retired judge Avni lives alone. He can rarely see his only daughter Selma who lives in another city. One night Avni calls his daughter to ask her to visit him over the weekend. As Selma is very busy on that weekend, they agree to see each other a few weeks later. He passes away before Selma visits him. Following his burial, some unexpected events make Selma realize the cause of her father’s death. Uncle Avni’s life and death are not as they seem.

Çiğdem TOPALOĞLU

Cigdem TopalogluÇiğdem Topaloğlu was born in İstanbul. She graduated from the Middle East Technical University with a degree in
Management. Following her graduation she worked in different positions, mainly in the sales and marketing departments of
multinational companies operating in the automotive sector. For the last 15 years she has been the General Manager
in a truck manufacturing company. Since her childhood she has been addicted to cinema. For the last 10 years she attended many courses, workshops, and seminars in Turkey and abroad about film making, screenwriting, editing etc. As a second career she decided to delve into film making, and to make her dream come true, she established her own production company, Lavanta Film, in November, 2008.
