Synopsis

This film is about women in Gölyazı village of the city of Bursa, Turkey, who have to work with their husbands as fisherwomen. This is the story of their hard circumstances as being both fisherwomen, and wives and mothers at home at the same time.

EMINE EMEL BALCI

Emine Emel BalciEmine Emel Balci was born in 1984 in Amasya, Turkey. She has been studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Cinema-TV Department since 2002. In addition to the films mentioned in her filmography below, she also worked in a feature film as first director's assistant. She writes short stories, published in some literature magazines; Lacivert, Koridor, Patika, Sonra Edebiyat ve Kül Story Magazine. She received special mention prizes with some of her stories. She has a Turkish Republic Culture and Tourism Ministry supported feature film script, dated 2007, named “Little Fish”. Her short film story “The Waiting” was supported by TURSAK Foundation and the Turkish Cultural Ministry. She is currently working in a script writing group and working on her own stories.
