Synopsis

Drinking houses (meyhane) are places where habits, delights and traditions are started. These drinking houses, which hold a unique place for especially for Istanbul’s Beyoglu district, have generated their own culture and drew attention of people from all segments of society. The film gives a tour of Beyoglu which discovers the unknown aspects of drinking houses.


CAN DIKER

Can DikerCan Diker was born on August 25th, 1986 in Istanbul. He graduated from Vefa Anatolian High School and attended Visual Communication Design Department of Istanbul Commerce University in 2004, graduated in 2008. During his university education, he won four first runner up and one 2nd runner up awards from competition called Young Communicaters. He also won the “Best Istanbul Documentary” in the Marmara University Communication Faculty 10th Short Film Competition. He took a part in Cannes Lion, one of the most renown advertisement festivals in the world. He received a graduate certificate from Roger Hatchuel Academy in June 2007.
