Salih lives with his mother in a shantytown surrounded by skyscrapers. He works in a supermarket as cashier’s helper, helping the customers or carrying their shopping bags. He is distantly interested in Hacer who works in the same place. One day Salih eats the last piece of the leftover food in the supermarket's kitchen, which he later finds out was supposed to be given to Hacer. The manager gives Hacer a voucher for the missed lunch, in the amount of 3.5 liras.
