Synopsis
The traditional fishery and reed workmanship at Eber Lake near the city of Afyon come to an end after a serious drought and closing of the paper mill (SEKA). This is the documentary of the people who try to survive despite these hardships.

Mehmet Emre GÜL
Mehmet Emre Gül was born in Ankara in 1992. He received his primary and secondary education in Konya. He started his undergraduate studies in 2010 in Selcuk University Department of Radio-TV and Cinema. By the Lake is his first documentary.
