Synopsis

Where the film tells about the changes concerning sea, human, and fish by starting out from the work named “Fish and Fishing in Turkey” published in Ottoman Turkish in 1915 by Karekin Deveciyan, the manager of the Istanbul fish market, it also reflects how we, from rich seas and a rich sea culture to today, ended up in the campaigns ‘no small fish means no big fish, either’, ‘may Istanbul not sigh for bluefish’. The Fish of Bosphorus is a documentary film, which tries to observe the changes in Istanbul and Istanbulites by looking from the sea perspective.
