by Coskun Aral A comprehensive portrait of The Kangal, the never-sleeping eye of the steppes… This documentary tells everything about The Kangal dogs, including genetic studies in Turkey, their morphologic characteristics, their friendship with the shepherds, and threats to their kind. It also tells the common destiny of the Kangal and the wolf, both masters of the steppe, their existence based on intelligence and power, and their long journey from Namibia to the U.S.A.

Coskun
Aral was born in 1956 in Siirt. He is an international war
photographer, explorer, traveler, documentary producer. His program
titled “Haberci” was broadcasted on the ATV channel. The
program’s later episodes were broadcasted on NTV and ShowTV, which
was followed by it’s broadcast on TRT with a new title “Turkiye
Renkleri”. He is the founder of IZ TV, the first Turkish documentary
channel. In 1983, his photography album titled “Peace in Galilee”
which he prepared together with four war photographers including
National Geographic’s reknown photographer Reza and Yan Morvan, was
published by Edition de Minuit. He was also among the 131 best war
photographers of the world in the New York Pantheon Publishing
House’s book, the War Torn. His adventure photography album,
“Turkey: The Big Adventure of A Thousand Miles”, was published in
1988. In 1995, his two books, “War the Dangerous Light” and
“World’s Most Dangerous Places” were published in the United
States by the Fielding Worldwide Publishing House. |
