- The celebrated satirist Sinasi Dikmen arrived from Turkey in Germany in 1972. In his performances he deals with the linguistic challenges and often tragicomic experiences of Turkish immigrants in Germany. With his wife Ayse Aktay he founded in Frankfurt in 1997 Die KÄS - Kabarett -
Änderungsschneiderei.
-
- In his solo performances he skewers the zeitgeist prophets from Baghwan to Bohlen and Beckenbauer and lampoons Germany as an earthly paradise of domestic perfection, fitness studios and tanning parlors. He is by turns passionate, incredulous and overwhelmed by conflicting messages and invokes the ghost of his nephew Mehmet to serve as witness for the onslaught of constant culture shocks on faith and ethnic tradition.

With ecumenical thoroughness Sinasi Dikmen and his co-author Wolfgang Marschall have created a program that fuses sly comments and subversive questions, subtle ironies and lively jokes.

- For all that, Dikmen is at heart loving and conciliatory.
